January 25 I'm backWell since I have been off the foot for a week and a half, I haven't lost anymore weight, but the upside is I didn't gain any back either so that is a plus! Starting Monday I am back in the swing of things so hopefully things will get back on track!
Lori January 16 10 DaysSo I went to the doctor about my ankle which turned a lovely shade of purple and looks like I have a softball growing out of it. They said it's not broken( thank goodness) but I have to stay off of it for the next week, and no aerobic exercise for 10 days! I have been on such a roll lately that it scares me what can happen in those ten days. I don't want to lose my motivation for this.
Lori January 15 SetbackSo last night I was at step class just going along and my right foot decides it doesn't want to come off the stepper. Needless to say I turned my ankle coming down. Not fun! It's swollen and purple and just plain ugly. I'm not going to let this deter me. I will just have to up my resistance training while it heals.
Lori January 14 10 PoundsSo I am down 10 pounds and are feeling great. I have been alternating between classes ( I highly recommend Zumba... it is fantastic!!!!!) and walking/jogging. I have also cut down my caloric intake to about 1400-1500 a day. The sad part is that I eat more now than I used too. Before I would work 6am to 3pm eat no breakfast, and not have a real meal until after 3. The fact that I work in a bakery didn't help either because we would just snack all day. I've managed to say no to that now. I make sure I have something to eat every couple of hours, and I eat breakfast before I walk out of the door. It has really made a difference. I have alot more energy now too which is fantastic!
Lori January 11 Race For The Cure 5KSince one of the ways I like to excercize is alternating between walking and jogging, my sister convinced me to set a goal of entering a 5K in two months. I usually walk 3 miles a few times a week, so this distance does not seem overwhelming to me. It all raises money for breast cancer which is an added bonus. I alternate between walking for 2 minutes, then jogging for one minute right now, so my goal in March will be to jog the whole 3. We'll see!
